ceiling fan This is a very quiet, nice ceiling fan. The best part is, it is perfect for low ceilings. It takes some time to put it together.
Awesome fan, with one catch Bought 4 of these fans to be installed in our new construction. Shipping was extra fast (used the Super Saver Shipping and the fans somehow arrived the next day)! No damage in shipping for such large items was a relief to me. The fans are very attractive. The brushed nickel with the cherry blades gives a very distinguished look. Actual operation of the fan is very quiet with no wobbling. My one and only complaint is with the remote. Unless someone can tell me otherwise, there is no way to operate the fan without the remote. Since we are going into a new house, I had double switch plates installed so the fan and light could be operated independent of each other. However since the it is setup where the remote is the only way to operate the fan, the remote is now mounted over the switch we were going to use for the fan. The remote comes with a mount to place over a light switch. This may have been something others have noted, but I was disappointed none the less. Overall though, I have nothing but positive marks for the fan operation, aesthetic, and Amazon delivery.
poor design I have installed many ceiling fans before and this one is absolutely terrible to install and the instructions could be improved. The whole fan hangs from top cover, so during installation you need to hang fan temporarily from ceiling plate to wire fan motor (3 wires) and receiver (6 wires), then unhook ceiling cover to place it flush on ceiling plate (without pinching any of the 9 cables). Even after finishing, replacing the bulb is a two-person operation since the cover hangs from rim attached with three screws from the sides and you need someone to hold the rim to screw/unscrew without dropping the cover. The fan works well (good light, good air flow) but there are better options for the price range.
Love this fan! I purchased this fan hesitantly because I was really not sure what to expect due to the reviews. I LOVE this fan! The bronze looks awesome with the mahogany colored blades. We rarely use the light but if we do its more like flourescent and it does give a lot of light. We hired an electrician to install it and because our condo is so old (joists are 9" on center instaed of 16" on center) it took him about 4 hours. Once installed though it looks awesome. The fan speeds are great and it moves the AC'd air around well. I would highly recommend this fan!
NIce quiet operation with slow speed option This is a really nice fan. I like that it has a slow speed mode which I like at night which the cheaper Hamilton Beach imitation (which the previous owners installed in this house) does not. It is a bit wobbly at the super fast speed but that might be my husband's installation. |
